So I still have my UK phone with me. You can text me and it won’t cost you anything more than a normal text. Do me a favour and don’t call my UK number, it shouldn’t cost you any more but it’ll cost me to answer.
I bought a Fiji sim card and again, it won’t cost you any more to text me. My number is:
+679 9383549
If you really really want to call me, that’s the number to dial.
Otherwise, if you want to speak to me on the phone, arrange a time with me that I can call you. I found a hotel that lets me call home for 20c a minute, which is damn cheap, so I’m happy to call you for a chat if you give me a time and a landline number.
Feel free to post me stuff! It takes about two weeks to send something between Fiji and the UK.
My address is:
Jenny Laahs
St. James Anglican Primary School
P.O. Box 25
Levuka
Ovalau
Fiji Islands
I’d really appreciate it if y’all kept in touch, I’m pretty busy here and it’s hard to keep up with everyone but if you make the effort I’ll defo respond. Laters.
UPDATE! 10/3/08
May have slightly dropped one of my phones in the ocean and it now may or may not be broken. As such I have stopped using my UK sim card, so go and just text to the Fiji number? Cheers.

Hi Jenny!
Reading your write-up about the Death of the Chief (Turaga na Tui Levuka) I’ve been wondering if you have any pictures of the funeral procession at all…..It would lovely if you posted it on your webpage.
Thanks for the write up…Yes! Indeed Ratu Kolinio Rokotuinaceva was a real Chief and wished if Fiji still have some like him. God Bless his Family,
May the Ratu rest in peace.
Respectfully.

Hey Andrea!
Great to hear from you
It’s weird being home, nice in some ways but I’d still rather be at the Ovalau Club!
Hope everyone in Levuka is well
